Every session is a tmux session on your VPS. Disconnect, lock your phone, board a flight — the agent keeps working and the scrollback is waiting when you return.
Invisible to the internet
The server binds exclusively to your Tailscale address. There is no public port, no login page to attack, nothing to scan. WireGuard encrypts every byte end to end.

A real iPhone app — customizable key bar (esc, ctrl, arrows, paste), tmux window switching, and scrolling that actually scrolls the conversation, not your prompt history.

faq
Do I need to be a networking person to set this up?
No. The installer sets up Tailscale for you and prints a login link — you approve it from your phone. If you can paste one command into a VPS, you're qualified.
What exactly am I paying for?
The sshai server software and updates. Your coding agent is separate (bring your Claude, OpenAI, or other subscription), Tailscale has a generous free tier, and the iPhone app is a free download.
Does it only work with Claude Code?
No — sshai runs whatever agent CLI you use: Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Kimi, or any command you type at the installer's prompt. Sessions are just tmux; the agent is your choice.
Is my code or conversation visible to sshai (the company)?
Structurally impossible: the server binds only to your private tailnet address and makes no calls home. Your terminal traffic never touches our infrastructure. See privacy.
What if I don't have a VPS?
Any $5/month Ubuntu box from Hostinger, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, etc. works. It can also run on a Mac or a Raspberry Pi on your desk — anywhere tmux and Node run.
Lost your license key?
It can't really get lost: sign inwith the GitHub username or email from checkout and it's there, and your confirmation page link keeps working forever too.
